Lonsdale Boys Club, Roadhouse 22/04/2012

Londen based trio Lonsdale Boys Club stopped off in Manchester on their first UK headline tour.  With the gig taking place the day before the release of the already hugely popular debut single, ‘Light Me Up’ , Fuse FM had to swing by to see these boys live.
As always, The roadhouse provided the perfect intimate gig venue.  What’s more, it seemed to provide the perfect ‘Lonsdale Boys Club’ venue, with the guys taking full advantage through their interactions with the crowd. Support off the back of their recent tour with Olly Murs was evident through the flock of teenagers who huddled around the stage and seemed to know every song.  The band have a consistent vibrant and exciting sound and seem to be keeping in mind an audience who like a light hearted tune to dance along to. Although it’s hard to choose one that stands out when each and every song seems to be a crowd pleaser, it seemed to be ‘Sister Shake’ that had the majority give that extra toe tap.

All in all I think the guys know what they are doing, and are doing it well. Perhaps aimed at a younger audience than the average Fuse FM fan, but with with the consistent catchy chorus’ I can’t imagine many could help but sing along.
