PLAYTIME COMPETITION - RESULTS
The results of the Playtime Competition are now in. The competition, in it's second year, is growing from strength to strength and this year saw 21 scripts being submitted. But... there can only be one winner (well, actually because we are nice, there are 3)
1st Place - The Hearing by George Alabaster
2nd Place - Fancy the Duck by Jospeh Hancock
3rd Place - Past Birmingham by Katharine Armitage
Also, though not being one of the overall winners, both Katherine Beacon and myself felt that some recognition needed to go to another piece:
Commended -
Ned's Journey by Maurice Engel
NOW... these plays need to be made, for that I need actors/directors/sound designers to help. It's a massive project that looks RIDICULOUSLY good on your CV (I had an interview with a production company who said that the Playitme Competition was 'admirable').
So, if you want to get involved in ANY way, email me at
matthew.bell-2@student.manchester.ac.uk.
Finally, congratulations to those plays selected and stay tuned to Fuse FM for more exciting news about the Playtime Competition (the hard work has only just begun...).
