The Great Manchester Run

On Sunday 20th May, the streets of Manchester were turned into a sea of runners as the 10th annual Great Manchester Run came to the city. We sent reporter Rachel Longworth along to speak to some of the runners as they crossed the finish line.

Well done to everyone who took part and raised money for such a wide variety of charities!

Are You Recycling?

Fuse FM's very own Hattie Pearson was part of a project that looked into whether students recycle enough. Her group worked with Manchester City Council and Manchester Student Homes to try and find a way of encouraging more students to recycle their rubbish.

Joe Kearney caught up with Hattie to try and find out what he can be doing to help the environment and what the council needs to be doing to stop our rubbish going to landfill.

Today James Sandford put on his Sunday best and head down to the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital as the Queen unveiled a plaque at it's official opening. Crowds of people turned out and weren't dissapointed as the queen arrived in her car waving to happy onlookers and took to the stage for a quick performance of a specially commissioned piece of music by the Royal Northern Collage of Music and to unveil that comemorative plaque.
