Student protests against cuts in Manchester
Over a hundred students from the University of Manchester are staging a sit in at the finance office of the John Owens building after yesterdays London NUS protest. The students who are occupying the building and refusing to leave have demanded to speak to someone regarding the jobs that will be lost within the university following the proposed cuts to higher education. Other students are protesting outside on the stree with placards as security have locked the entrance to the building.
