Brown Brogues – Soup Kitchen 3rd March
Fixers came into the Fuse studio on Saturday 18th Feb to talk to Charlie and perform their single 'Iron Deer Dream'. Singer and keyboardist Jack talks to us about this and much more, including a busy tour schedule this year.
And here it is. The first picture from inside our new studios. I've just come back from a meeting with the contractors and thought I'd share this with you guys. That there *points at photo* is a window between the studios constructed especially for us to provide good sound quality. Pretty fancy. Now obviously there's still work for the contractors to do. But I'm told that carpet is going in tomorrow and then there's a few other bits to finish off such as putting glass in that fancy window. But you can be sure I'll post here as soon as we get the keys.

As everyone knows too well, the month January, with its post-festive blues, might as well be written off the character. Just as well then, as last week it fell to XFM to kick off February, and indeed 2012, good and proper with their ‘Next Big Thing’ night down at HMV’s The Ritz, featuring their pick of ‘ones to watch’ over the coming 12 months.
Click 'Read More' for the full review of the night and to see what we thought of Willy Moon, Ren Harvieu, Spector, Dry The River and All The Young.
Last weekend, NME's annual celebration of the best artists around rolled into Manchester for another leg of the awards tour. Fuse FM's reporter Leanne Fata headed down to check out the gig which featured Azaelia Banks, Tribes, Metronomy and was headlined by Two Door Cinema Club (pictured). Click 'read more' for the scoop!
Following his visit to these parts back in October, friend of Fuse FM Benjamin Francis Leftwich returns to Oxford Road to headline the Academy 2 on Thursday 23rd February. Tickets are available here. Intrigued and want to know more? Check out our video with our session from him below, as well as links to download the whole session and interview for free!
In a feature focussing on one of our sponsors, we chat to Mike Tamam, the founder of Clean Degree, the budget cleaning service designed with students in mind!
Take a listen to find out what the company offers, Mike's advice on starting your own business after graduating, and even how to win a free clean for your whole house (or the Fuse FM studios, if you're feeling kind). And don't forget to check out their website, www.cleandegree.co.uk.
